Kosamattam Finance Limited, established in 1987 and headquartered in Kottayam, Kerala, is a non-deposit-taking non-banking financial company (NBFC) specializing in gold loans. As of June 30, 2024, the company operated 987 branches across Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, and the Union Territory of Puducherry, employing over 3,800 people. In addition to gold loans, Kosamattam Finance offers fee-based services such as microfinance, money transfer, power generation, foreign currency exchange, agriculture, and air ticketing. The company is part of the Kosamattam Group, led by Mathew K. Cherian, and is registered with the Reserve Bank of India as a systemically important, non-deposit taking NBFC.
